I Shall Wear Midnight - a point on colour.

I've been meaning to make a colour post for quite some time, because...I like colour. VictorianKitty's colour brigade post today urged me to do so.

In Terry Pratchett's book A Hat Full of Sky, the young witch, Tiffany Aching, remarks ""When I'm old I shall wear midnight, she'd decided. But for now she'd had enough of darkness."" I do love black so much, but some days I get tired of it. Here's my favourite rainy day outfit.

My favourite red coat, which is made of wool and in a rather Pride and Prejudice style. My red dress with black spots I found at my old school in a materials bin to be taken apart and used again as scraps. I was like, "uh, sorry, mine". My once-upon-a-time-cherry-red Doc Martens, and here, a closeup of my stockings and socks.

I stand by that rainbow socks are goth as. Those stockings aren't too old but they're dying slowly.

It's warm, it's cute, it's cheery. I'm always cheery when it's raining, though not everyone else is. It's rather blinding against the grey backgrounds when it's raining, which means I have a decreased chance of being hit by a car (seriously, it's becoming a problem. It doesn't help that there are people who drive around at 40kph in the parking lot, especially at night, and often with their highbeams on. The amount of times I've walked down to the shops at night only to be blinded by some asswipe with his highbeams on.)

Anyway, that was today's, and probably tomorrow's, outfit.
