What I'm Listening To Lately

I promised a music post. Here it is. First song is by long-time favourite comedy band of mine, Lemon Demon, most well known for "The Ultimate Showdown of Ultimate Destiny".

It's all frigging true, too. Depressing and true.


This next song is one of mine and my mother's favourite car songs. Fuck you if you think I'm bad for liking it. Suck my dick, is what I say to you.

Fucking fuck yeah. Sorry, but it's just great.


This next one is possibly one of my favourite songs at the moment from I Am Ghost, a band I adore.

I absolutely love this song and I don't know why. I just love the band, their hooks and riffs are mind-sticky.


Musical Number

I am going to give you this one, that my singing teacher gave me. I love this song from Les Mis and I will try and record my own version as soon as I can.

Australian Song

It was a hard choice, this one, since the one I originally wanted isn't anywhere on internet. (Emma Pask "Mr. Better" if you can find it anywhere). So, I fell back on an old favourite of mine.

An absolute favourite! Love it so much.


Like A Version

Here in Australia, we have a radio station called Triple J. They're your one-stop for everything. News, youth issues, music, everything. Every year they release a CD of people doing different versions of other band's songs. I thought my every music post would include a similar thing. Here's the first one, which is from Glee. I know, I know. Glee sucks, etc, etc, but this is Amber Riley we're talking about. Her voice punches you in the dick with its awesomeness.

I think this is an excellent version. My ex boyfriend and I got into a scrap over it a few weeks ago, he was saying how having someone play Frank N. Furter that was not a man was ridiculous, and that the song was supposed to be sultry and sexy. Excuse me, but I find her voice extremely alluring. He's just jealous he doesn't have hips like that. Audio is very slightly out of sync here, but is the best I can do.
