Looking Forward

As I might have previously mentioned (I don't remember), on the 21st of May, at 1pm at Town Hall in Sydney, there is going to be a rally for gay rights. And I am going to go, and I am going to march with my brothers and sisters, who just so happen to be attracted to other brothers and other sisters, to give them all the same rights I have. I am going to that rally, and if I have to, I will fight for the rest of my life for them to have these very same rights I do. Basic rights, to love and marry who they wish, to be protected and unafraid, to have the same right to adopt and raise children that I have.

I will go with whoever wants to come with me, and be there to stand against the laws that make no sense. We are a nation of all cultures, and to be a nation of all cultures, we have to accept all cultures - reguarless of age, race, ethnicity, sex or orientation. I am expecting trouble, and I am happy to take it as it comes.

Viva la Evolución.

Hair - the aftermath.

Just as a forward note, Clockwork Mice and Toy Spiders and the Ultimate Goth Guide did some awesome notes about makeup today. Black lipstick and foundation, respectively.

Now, yesterday, I tried doing rag curls. Lessons learned, for sure, like on the size of the hair-chunk taken, but all and all it turned out really well. It's also hard to do your hair on your own when you're so short.

WOAH CURLS. A  few didn't dry (like, two) and one at the back kind-of undid itself, but a good result.

FOOF! :D! I AM HAPPY

And here is the post-moussing result! Awesome. :3

I'll edit it in a bit after I get dressed to add in my outfit too. It's (ugh) sunny outside.
In the meantime, here's susan in a little hat. They started solid food yesterday, and Sunday and Tilda both decided to stand in the milk while they drink it right now.

EDIT: Here's what I'm wearing today. Hair has deflated a bit, but it's just a test run, so it doesn't matter.

Short skirt for warm weather. Corset for my back and lungs. Was going to to wear fishnets, but couldn't find them, so socks it is.

Well now!

Nine followers! "CountWolf", you are so incognitus.

And also, I have an INVISIBLE FOLLOWER. Oh em gee.

Excite!

Eating noodles from Delicious Noodle House right now. When you ask for extra hot, they make it extra hot. Jesus! Anyone who hasn't had something from Delicious Noodle/ Noodle Box franchises, DO IT. So, so good.

Makeup tutorial!

Out of boredom, I decided to do my "gothic but somewhat conservative" makeup. Here we go!

Here's me....barefaced. My foundation is at Heather's place, but let's pretend I have it here. I have a very pale pressed powder, and a white liquid. I often mix the two, or - even better - mix one or the other (but not really both) with moisturiser. It helps it soak in and cling to the skin and won't powder off easily. I'm going to start by saying, no way, no how, will any makeup last all day. You're going to have to re-apply. I suggest getting a big wallet like mine. Before doing anything, apply moisturiser to the eye area, and when it's soaked in, put a primer.

Ignore my weird expression. I have to open my eyes quite wide to catch the light, and I was messing about with my mouth expression whime waiting for the picture to be taken. But anyway, using a red lipliner (I use L.A Colors (stupid american spelling "Sexy Red" lipliner), go all on the bottom lid under the lashes, but not on the waterline.

I use cotton buds here on in for pretty much everything. I used to have a double-ended brush, but I lost it somewhere in Queensland.

Using the cotton bud, smudge the red about until it's faded down the bottom edge. Blend it in as best you can when it fades.

Using a fresh bud (not the other end of the other one), apply black eyeshadow to the waterline. Yes, you can use an eyeliner pencil, but I use eyeshadow and a cotton bud. I find it easier, unless you can get a fine-tip eyeliner pen. They're brilliant. Mine's somewhere, but I have no idea where.

With the other end of that cotton bud, with a tiny bit of shadow on it, pull your bottom eyelid down and smudge it out on the outward edge into a small line. It gives a cats-eye effect and I quite like it.

Using the first end of the cotton bud, apply the shadow to the top lid. It can be hard to do it dark with the eyeshadow, but you'll manage. Just be sure not to go above the crease.

Apply that primer to the lips. If you like, you can put clear gloss on for a "dead" look, if you want (I think that'd be cool), but if not, carry on.

Because of my shit webcam, you can't really see. But I used a BRIGHT red lipstick (you can either apply directly or with a brush/cotton bud), applied heavily, and then put a very dry, waxy black over it. The red I use is SAVVY and the black is L.A.. To apply the waxy black, I don't advise using a cotton bud. I did it by brushing it on directly, from top to bottom in straight streaks on the bottom lip, then I rubbed my lips together. Then, using a leftover strip of material (I cut it for my hair, and I advise using material instead of a tissue, which you can use anyway) I dabbed it dry. The result is a dark red-black stain.

I hope you enjoy it! Tell me what you think.

Suddenly Fox!

Today, as I was getting out of the shower and preparing to cut my fringe, there was a knock at my door. Before I had the chance to get dressed or anything (which I continued not to do for about twenty minutes longer), Heather, her mother and her youngest brother were in my house, gleefully enjoying my kittens.

I made them coffee and then set about trimming my hair. I then set it in rags as outlined in this tutorial with Heather's help, and now I'm sitting here, with it tied up in a bandana for the day. I'm just doing a practice run until I actually need to, so I can do it properly when the time comes.

Speaking of that time, it could be next week (if I'm unlazy enough) for the reptile show with Sarah and her friends, or maybe in May for the...

Get ready for it...

Equal rights rally, yay!

21st of may, 1pm at Town Hall in Sydney, to any syndey friends. I'll be there with whatever ragtag group I can pull together, and there will be much rejoicing. Come along and protest the country's stupid laws against same-sex couples. I mean, our atheist, de facto, living in sin Prime Minister claims that she supports traditional marriage, which she then says is based on the Bible. WTF, Julia? Let's set things right.

Hope to see you there. I'll be in a corset! :3

Sydney Trip?

So, I have a little bit of a love for Goths In Odd Places. While Goths may not be out of place in Sydney, I thought it might be fun to organise a special gathering.

It was Sarah's birthday a few weeks ago, but I couldn't attend her party. I promised to take her out to high tea in the city to make up for it. Yes, as in that thing old British ladies do. So, I was thinking, maybe we should turn this whole thing into a Goth's Day Out in the Queen Victoria building Tea Room.

What do you guys think?

Any Sydney goths want to come along?

In the Land of Shopping

This evening, I went to the shop. I have a few friends there, so I took my time having a good catch up.

Upon returning home, I immediately told Heather (who pictured me as a sexy umbreon in her first blog post today. Follow her. Trust me, she's frigging hilarious) what my booty was.
xkitourax 9:45 pm
went to the shop to get dinner.
    Got:
peanuts, popcorn, hot cross buns, chips, catmilk, coffee, toothpaste, batteries, asprin, band aids and fruit tingles.

    .....x3

So, upon looking at that shopping list, you could assume I'm a pretty damn usual teenager. A usual teenager that shops just before closing, and forgets to buy actual food, but yeah, I guess.

One of my shopfriends, Sean (whose name must be pronounced "seen"), asked me, "Why don't you go to school?"

I couldn't explain then and there, but I can now. I can't go to school because I am sick. I get bullied, and I am sick. There are days when I can't eat, and can barely stand. There are days when I see things that aren't there. I have a lot of old "war wounds" that get to me.
I can't work either. And that bothers me. Because I get so sick, I'm not much use to anyone. So what can I do with myself? What in the world is there for me to do?

 Fuckyeah!

EDIT: I forgot to upload some photos of what I wore. I wore a long-sleeved black and grey cardigan and my red coat over this, but they're less photogenic, so i took them off.

And Sunday, who wanted to be held.

 My socks and shoes

And my gloves and Matilda, who wanted to be held. :3
