Firstly, hello new followers. Everyone welcome the new bats on the block! Play nice. I figured with over 200 followers (where did you all come from?) I should pick up my act. FV still on hiatus, but as shaun has just picked up a 300-a-week job, I should be back on schedule soon.
So the other week, I was browsing through Corsets-AU ( UK site here and American site here ), just window-shopping, when the sales page caught me. A corset I liked (two, actually, but shhh) was less than $50. With a quick check on my bank funds, I saw I had $35 just sitting there, forgotten, and with a bit of extra from savings, bought myself a present.
Now I wasn't expecting Gallery Serpentine quality here. I was expecting something more like that one Corset-Connection one that I got (remember that? Remember how terrible it was? It was exactly this terrible ) and in this respect, I was happily surprised.
While it wasn't stellar quality, and the waist tape was ribbon (WHY but replacable), it was still great considering it was under $50. The waist shape it gives isn't great, but the profile it gives is fantastic (and the profile view - side on - is what I usually have the most trouble with), and with that in mind I CAN fix the waistline (I don't know how yet, but that's because Bernadette is asleep and not awake telling me how to do things).
The boning is very sturdy. VERY VERY sturdy. I like this. I like this a lot. At worst I can salvage the parts and give them to Nikki or Bern for reuse, since the metal parts are great.
Sarah warned me of two things, the top fabric ripping and the laces being crap. While the top fabric is a big lame but not the worst, the lacing is faaar too short and honestly, craptacular. However, easily replaced.
As of now, I am very happy with my perchase. In a bind, I would definitely purchase again. Many brands resell these wholesale corsets, so they are quite popular. They're worth trying if you are a fan of Timeless-Trends corsets, and the clothing they sell is also quite lovely. Plus, mini hats!

The last little while, I have been pretty ill, and things have been pretty crappy. I just haven't had the energy to blog. It's really sucked, since I have supposed to have hung out with Jen and Fairy a lot, but I just...I don't know, don't really feel "there"? I feel boring, bored and tired all the time, despite the fact I usually manage to sleep, what, 10-12 hours a day? My anxiety is getting so much worse, and I just feel like everyone is criticising me, even though they aren't, and are making no indications of it.
My eyesight was horrible this morning. Four five or six hours, I couldn't see anything except for stuff that applied to my reading glasses, and for about two hours before Shaun left for his first night of work since we moved, I couldn't move because I felt like I was being stabbed in the abdomen.
I feel like I'm letting people down and I don't know why. I feel like a total waste of space at the moment, with no job, no prospects and no money. I can't seem to focus on anything, for any amount of time. I miss Tilly and Delilah and the kittens so much, and I won't ever see them again.
I don't know what to do anymore. I hope I can get back to blogging soon. You guys always made me feel better before.

I went to Lush when I was Out With The Girls (and Shaun), and bought their "Caca Noir" henna. They reckoned it'd go blue. I shrugged and said no result could be bad. AND I WAS RIGHT.
So my hair is a far more natural colour, it's a lot more green-red-blonde in the photos.
Next step is to put some Manic Panic red over it! Wooo!
Why, I went back in time, to visit Queen!
By which I mean I've been staying inside, trying to escape from the heat. Leaving my room has become literally life-threatening. I can't go out for more than a few minutes before I start having muscle spasms. Mr. Growlithe has been taking very good care of me in the meantime.
Hope you all had a fabulous new years. We tried to, but then Fairy fell asleep so we just sort of went to bed. It's okay though!
Hopefully, this friday, Fairy, myself, Nemo and Jen are going to the Illamasqua stall to use up my 15% off coupons. :3 I will actually UPLOAD some photos to post for you guys, as I currently have a cameraful that are waiting to be posted.
Hopefully the heat will pass soon, my health will be improved and I can get back to regular posting. <3
