After much umming and aaahing I decided that I would change blogs. No real rhyme or reason to it, I just wanted a change. I'll be much more regular over there.</span><br />

<span style="color: purple;">Don't be afraid to comment here or there giving me your blog address - it's a new account, so I don't have all my blogs followed.</span><br />

<br />
<br />
<span style="color: purple;">Lol hay everypony. I know I said that I would be blogging more regularly, a month ago, but I've been alternating between busy and sick, I had a birthday, etc. If it's any consolation, I've been <a href="http://anonymousgothcat.tumblr.com/">pretty freegin active on Tumblr lately. </a></span><br />
<br />
<span style="color: purple;">So, once again, a backlog of outfits!</span><br />
<br />
<div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: center;">
</div>
<br />
<div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: center;">
<a href="https://blogger.googleusercontent.com/img/b/R29vZ2xl/AVvXsEjNWvI9QXJIvwiYe968j-OZOSLJqzR8bWHXwv5uQkdr6P10R3rJwIQHmuElzGHe9big_13l5h3-6u6InsFcH5jG9WlYyGQ7syGZX0xBqZu2KrwX1HFSaqMkKyDMvaX5UNK2kplCn4GPtsAE/s1600/hair+and+dress.png" imageanchor="1" style="clear: right; float: right; margin-bottom: 1em; margin-left: 1em;"><img border="0" height="133" src="https://blogger.googleusercontent.com/img/b/R29vZ2xl/AVvXsEjNWvI9QXJIvwiYe968j-OZOSLJqzR8bWHXwv5uQkdr6P10R3rJwIQHmuElzGHe9big_13l5h3-6u6InsFcH5jG9WlYyGQ7syGZX0xBqZu2KrwX1HFSaqMkKyDMvaX5UNK2kplCn4GPtsAE/s200/hair+and+dress.png" width="200" /></a></div>
<span style="color: purple;">First up, my TARDIS dress! Yeah! And m hair. :P My hairdresser gets carried away. The hair picture was taken on the train because we have balls all light in the house and it wouldn't have shown up properly.</span><br />
<span style="color: purple;"><br /></span>
<span style="color: purple;">The TARDIS dress is made by Black Milk Clothing, a company I adore, and it is my first (and likely only) piece by them.I love it! It's scandalously short. :P</span><br />
<span style="color: purple;"><br /></span>
<span style="color: purple;"><br /></span>
<span style="color: purple;"><br /></span>
<div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: center;">
<a href="https://blogger.googleusercontent.com/img/b/R29vZ2xl/AVvXsEjlak9P7R3x0xD7HHI9QK84ocWhRgzGBloWKdGjj3q_EloFVPiGQPILLO5-5K9zxdifv62xGoLxS6Nzjkcv9Qk0189jJBz3H5jhH8fVNuwBP86r1CuO4fLnCkP9T7PBfc6lmTotlAr5Mxcn/s1600/IMG_0145.JPG" imageanchor="1" style="clear: right; float: right; margin-bottom: 1em; margin-left: 1em;"><img border="0" height="200" src="https://blogger.googleusercontent.com/img/b/R29vZ2xl/AVvXsEjlak9P7R3x0xD7HHI9QK84ocWhRgzGBloWKdGjj3q_EloFVPiGQPILLO5-5K9zxdifv62xGoLxS6Nzjkcv9Qk0189jJBz3H5jhH8fVNuwBP86r1CuO4fLnCkP9T7PBfc6lmTotlAr5Mxcn/s200/IMG_0145.JPG" width="150" /></a></div>
<span style="color: purple;">Then, Shaun had a day off, so we went to Werribee Zoo. It was blowing a gale, hence my weird facial expression. What I like most about this is you can see all the blue and green in my hair! I did rag curls for this, like I used to back in the olden days. I've found Lush's Goth Juice (sadly disconinuted) is a great curl setter. These curls didn't completely disappear until after I washed my hair.</span><br />
<span style="color: purple;"><br /></span>
<span style="color: purple;">The zoo itself was pretty fun. If you live in Melbourne, I really recommend joining the Zoo membership. It is so worth it, and it's a great experience.</span><br />
<span style="color: purple;"><br /></span>
<span style="color: purple;">And I'm also really pleased I got to wear my hat. :P I love that hat.</span><br />
<span style="color: purple;"><br /></span>
<span style="color: purple;">And then I went to see a production of Terry Pratchett's Wyrd Sisters at Clayton Monash University. It was AMAZING! I wore my Dark Muse shirt and the frilly Amu shirt of frilly frilly doom. I also wore odd stockings because I couldn't find matching ones. :P</span><br />
<a href="https://blogger.googleusercontent.com/img/b/R29vZ2xl/AVvXsEiW8icYk7KuGdu-i7RCgaKSPEv5f2tEkGvVvhQlRxrjU7n0GQYEsXhbqw8l3j7BDZHmyOQ9HxwHpk-Qi7wiBa8pKOVaWPHJEpz_zcTJFe7AhhWyDKJx83Wbxa0R7ihBDdrGNrsHCwhKeQ7P/s1600/IMG_0148.JPG" imageanchor="1" style="clear: right; float: right; margin-bottom: 1em; margin-left: 1em;"><img border="0" height="200" src="https://blogger.googleusercontent.com/img/b/R29vZ2xl/AVvXsEiW8icYk7KuGdu-i7RCgaKSPEv5f2tEkGvVvhQlRxrjU7n0GQYEsXhbqw8l3j7BDZHmyOQ9HxwHpk-Qi7wiBa8pKOVaWPHJEpz_zcTJFe7AhhWyDKJx83Wbxa0R7ihBDdrGNrsHCwhKeQ7P/s200/IMG_0148.JPG" width="150" /></a><span style="color: purple;"> <span style="color: purple;">Eeee :3 </span></span><br />
<span style="color: purple;"><br /></span>
<span style="color: purple;">I
also wore my black coat, since it matches the skirt. The shoes are
Demonias, that I rather had to glue back together. XD I love these
shoes!</span><br />

I hope to get back to blogging more.</span><br />
<span style="color: purple;"><br /></span>
<br />
<span style="color: purple;">I might be getting a job soon, so that might mean I'll have something to talk about again.</span><br />

I know I said I'd update sooner, but Shaun keeps bringing home sick and I keep getting colds. The bastard.</span><br />
<br />
<span style="color: purple;">Anyway, I have a backlog of outfit photos and selfies, so I thought I'd do a grand olde picdump. I'll also be just generally mentioning what i've been up to.</span><br />
<br />
<a href="https://fbcdn-sphotos-h-a.akamaihd.net/hphotos-ak-ash3/551749_3984294689603_1055817275_n.jpg" imageanchor="1" style="clear: right; float: right; margin-bottom: 1em; margin-left: 1em;"><img border="0" height="200" src="https://fbcdn-sphotos-h-a.akamaihd.net/hphotos-ak-ash3/551749_3984294689603_1055817275_n.jpg" width="195" /></a><span style="color: purple;">This first one is me at the Melbourne Museum, with my favourite prehistoric creature, the inostrancevia. Inostancevia is a Gorganopsid, a synapsid from the Permian era. Overall, the museum was okay. A nice day out, but there wasn't really much <i>there</i>. Although there was a huge collection of bad taxidermy. I will still go again, though.</span><br />
<br />
<br />
<br />
<span style="color: purple;">This next one is a little further back than that. I went out with Shaun and decided to behive the shit out of my hair. Not much else needs sayin'. :P</span><br />
<br />
<br />
<br />
<a href="https://fbcdn-sphotos-a-a.akamaihd.net/hphotos-ak-ash4/s720x720/428496_4078286839348_976361597_n.jpg" imageanchor="1" style="clear: left; float: left; margin-bottom: 1em; margin-right: 1em;"><img border="0" height="160" src="https://fbcdn-sphotos-a-a.akamaihd.net/hphotos-ak-ash4/s720x720/428496_4078286839348_976361597_n.jpg" width="200" /></a><span style="color: purple;"> </span><br />
<span style="color: purple;">This picture seemed a popular one. I dunno why. From the same day as the Museum.</span><br />
<br />
<span style="color: purple;"><br /></span>
<span style="color: purple;"><br /></span>
<a href="https://fbcdn-sphotos-g-a.akamaihd.net/hphotos-ak-snc7/484396_4263643753155_1151068792_n.jpg" imageanchor="1" style="clear: left; float: left; margin-bottom: 1em; margin-right: 1em;"><img border="0" height="200" src="https://fbcdn-sphotos-g-a.akamaihd.net/hphotos-ak-snc7/484396_4263643753155_1151068792_n.jpg" width="200" /></a><span style="color: purple;"><br /></span><br />
<span style="color: purple;"><br /></span>
<span style="color: purple;">I really like this picture. The dress was a present from Amy dearest, and I love it. It's so Queen Mother-ish.</span><br />
<span style="color: purple;"><br /></span>
<span style="color: purple;"><br /></span>
<a href="https://blogger.googleusercontent.com/img/b/R29vZ2xl/AVvXsEiepmjFHGJsIeylORxy246J-Pyc7qeEwumQSwN1wmJiL8vv70g7uO_Y3qFzz74rezFXtly9HjKV3hqCWYe0QpVhHtwVxhLVNnNsHuHdEj6PpaITJWXKz_rEsG8Q2dYS7XCJufHxH0HE6U8-/s1600/outfit.jpg" imageanchor="1" style="clear: right; float: right; margin-bottom: 1em; margin-left: 1em;"><img border="0" height="320" src="https://blogger.googleusercontent.com/img/b/R29vZ2xl/AVvXsEiepmjFHGJsIeylORxy246J-Pyc7qeEwumQSwN1wmJiL8vv70g7uO_Y3qFzz74rezFXtly9HjKV3hqCWYe0QpVhHtwVxhLVNnNsHuHdEj6PpaITJWXKz_rEsG8Q2dYS7XCJufHxH0HE6U8-/s320/outfit.jpg" width="240" /></a><span style="color: purple;"> </span><br />
<br />
<br />
<br />
<br />
<br />
<br />
<br />
<span style="color: purple;">This outfit was from a few days ago. The blouse is another Amy grab - my favourite blouse. The skirt, which is actually dark blue with white flowers (sunflowers, I think) and lace, was $20 from a thrift shop. All my suspenders - which I wear all the fucking time they're just so great - are from Visage and Vice here in Melbourne.</span><br />
<span style="color: purple;"><br /></span>
<span style="color: purple;"><br /></span>
<span style="color: purple;"><br /></span>
<br />
<br />
<span style="color: purple;">Last of all, today's stuff. I went out to see my brother, who is in town. I also bought a coat. A great thing, since I haven't owned a black coat in years! It's a lovely thing, too. Also feat. Ridcully being cute.</span><br />
<span style="color: purple;"><br /></span>
<div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: center;">

<span style="color: purple;"><br /></span>
<span style="color: purple;">That's about all from Bedlam here. I'll check in early in the week.</span><br />
<span style="color: purple;"><br /></span>
<span style="color: purple;">It's my birthday on Thursday!</span><br />

Nuts to waiting, I'm going to jump right back into this blogging business.</div>
<div style="color: purple;">
<br /></div>
<div style="color: purple;">
Now, just a note: There's a lot of butthurt around this album. If you're planning to comment about how it sucks, just go away. If you didn't like it, good for you, but honestly?</div>
<div style="color: purple;">
<br /></div>
<div class="separator" style="clear: both; color: purple; text-align: center;">
<a href="http://cdn.memegenerator.net/instances/400x/22073963.jpg" imageanchor="1" style="margin-left: 1em; margin-right: 1em;"><img border="0" height="264" src="http://cdn.memegenerator.net/instances/400x/22073963.jpg" width="320" /></a></div>
<div style="color: purple;">
<br /></div>
<div style="color: purple;">
Especially if you're just going to whine. It's cool if you just aren't big on it. But no "rar rar blar it is emotionless!" bullshit, alright? Good. Onwards.</div>
<div style="color: purple;">
<br /></div>
<div style="color: purple;">
<i>I like it</i>. I know. Most people didn't. Mind, most EA fans are psycho and obsessive. Here's a short list of complaints I've gathered about this album.</div>
<div style="color: purple;">
<br /></div>
<div style="color: purple;">
-"It feels emotionless!"</div>
<div style="color: purple;">
-"She sings all the parts herself!"</div>
<div style="color: purple;">
-"It feels rushed!"</div>
<div style="color: purple;">
-"She lied about scraping her knee once and that makes her musical ability bad!"</div>
<div style="color: purple;">
-"She's kind of a bitch right now!"</div>
<div style="color: purple;">
-"She doesn't play the violin!"</div>
<div style="color: purple;">
-"Daddy never came to my ball games!"</div>
<div style="color: purple;">
<br /></div>
<div style="color: purple;">
I'm just going to tell you why most of these are bullshit: It's intended as a soundtrack to her book (which i will get my paws on soon!). It's intended to be a production. It feels "emotionless" to some because it has to be more or less a "blank canvas" for the performers to fill in with physical presence and their own acting. Shut up about this.</div>
<div style="color: purple;">
<br /></div>
<div style="color: purple;">
Why does she sing it all herself? If she got the Crumpets, or someone else, to sing other characters' parts, people would shit if they weren't the ones who played them in the production. <b>Emilie Autumn fans are crazy</b>. If Maggots, for example, sung a part on the album, they would all have a massive shit fit if she didn't play that character in the production. It makes sense, also, for a <i>solo artist</i> to sing all the parts. It's not that uncommon. Shut up about this.</div>
<div style="color: purple;">
<br /></div>
<div style="color: purple;">
<div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: center;">
<a href="http://cdn1.ticketsinventory.com/images/last_photos/concert/E/emilie-autumn/emilie-autumn-tickets-manchester-academy-3_13039357076421.png" imageanchor="1" style="clear: right; float: right; margin-bottom: 1em; margin-left: 1em;"><img border="0" height="320" src="http://cdn1.ticketsinventory.com/images/last_photos/concert/E/emilie-autumn/emilie-autumn-tickets-manchester-academy-3_13039357076421.png" width="213" /></a></div>
Rushed? Hardly. Shut up.</div>
<div style="color: purple;">
<br /></div>
<div style="color: purple;">
She lied? Alright. Slow the fuck down. Firstly, <i>Emilie is bipolar</i>. You can argue and deny it if you like, but it's obvious that she's not faking it. She makes rash decisions. She changes moods quickly. She lies. <i>That's sort of what it is</i>. It's also not helped that she's made it quite public that she's changing meds a lot, especially while this was all coming together. Secondly, and I know this is hard for EA fans to grasp, <i>Emilie Autumn Liddel is a character.</i> Just like Lady GaGa. Just like David Bowie. Who they are in real life, and who they are when they perform are separate. All performers do this. ALL of them. Get over it and shut up.</div>
<div style="color: purple;">
<br /></div>
<div style="color: purple;">
She's bitchy? She's bipolar, and shit, if you apparently know so much about her private life right now, I'm glad you can say that she's just "being a bitch." Producing an album, with a legion of crazy fans at her throat, criticising her every move, I think she has a bit of permission to be "kind of a bitch." Shut up.</div>
<div style="color: purple;">
<br /></div>
<div style="color: purple;">
The violin. Seriously? She's a beautiful violinist - but this album is a soundtrack. Violins are there, she probably played them. But it makes sense for her to not play much. I imagine violins are in short supply in an asylum. Shut up.</div>
<div style="color: purple;">
<br /></div>
<div style="color: purple;">
And I know it hurts that your dad never loved you, but let's not take it out on musicians on the internet.</div>
<div style="color: purple;">
<br /></div>
<div style="color: purple;">
<b>It's okay not to like an album.</b> But it's just gone too far with this one. Calm your keyboard berserker rage. I know it makes these sorts of people cream themselves when they are overcritical and bitchy, but just...shut up. That all aside, let's move on to the actual review.</div>
<div style="color: purple;">
<br /></div>
<div style="color: purple;">
<div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: center;">
<a href="http://24.media.tumblr.com/tumblr_m79ugheThK1roo736o1_1280.jpg" imageanchor="1" style="margin-left: 1em; margin-right: 1em;"><img border="0" height="288" src="http://24.media.tumblr.com/tumblr_m79ugheThK1roo736o1_1280.jpg" width="320" /></a></div>
Overall, I think I would rate it somewhere around 8 out of 10. It's good. Really good. I like it. If you're not sure before you buy it, do what I did: Pirate, listen, and if you like it, buy it.</div>
<div style="color: purple;">
<br /></div>
<div style="color: purple;">
Let's break it down by song. I am going to be talking about it as a soundtrack album, and, remembering that I haven't read the book, I'm going to give my opinion on where I see them placed in the production.</div>
<div style="color: purple;">
<br /></div>
<div style="color: purple;">
<b>1: Fight Like A Girl</b></div>
<div style="color: purple;">
The titular song for this album, dur. It's not my favourite of the album. But I still <i>really</i> like it. It has Emilie's usual vocal style, and the opening is similar to "Misery Loves Company," and has a few melody reprises, which I like. It sticks very well to the core themes of the album. I'm not sure where this would fit into the production - I would personally put it after "Goodnight, Sweet Ladies" as an end, full-cast number, post-story. I think it is a quite powerful song. I enjoy the melody and lyrics, particularly the line, "even if you're only a boy/You can fight like a girl." I think it helps dispell the "she's a misandrist" bullshit.</div>
<div style="color: purple;">
<br /></div>
<div style="color: purple;">
<b>2: Time For Tea</b></div>
<div style="color: purple;">
Lol, I fucking love this song. SO MUCH. Just like the title song, I would place it after "The Key," and can imagine a lot of dramatic shit for the stage for this one. I like the references to "4 O'Clock" in this song, and it's why I'd place it as the climax song, right after "The Key." I can see it working amazingly in the production.</div>
<div style="color: purple;">
<br /></div>
<div style="color: purple;">
<b>3: 4 O'Clock Reprise</b></div>
<div style="color: purple;">
I think this is a great opening song, either RIGHT at the start, as an overture, or just after the basic story beginning, say, when she is locked in her cell, or something. There's not much I can really say - it's instrumental. It's lovely. That's. That's about it. I could also see this working well if "<i>4 O'Clock</i>" were also in the musical.</div>
<div style="color: purple;">

<tr><td class="tr-caption" style="text-align: center;">It's over. Let it go.</td></tr>
</tbody></table>
<div style="color: purple;">
<b>4: What Will I Remember?</b></div>
<div style="color: purple;">
I admit, I haven't really listened to this one. Don't get me wrong. It's good. And it is very fitting in the production. It just. Slipped my mind, I guess. It is very <i>Enchant</i>-era-esque. If you were big on that era, you will likely enjoy that song. Maybe. Or you can just be butthurt that it isn't 2001 anymore and she changed as an artist. Just do it somewhere else, far away from me. It would fit in great, maybe on Emily's first day, or night. Some time where she can sit and angst a while.</div>
<div style="color: purple;">
<b> </b></div>
<div style="color: purple;">
<b>5: Take The Pill</b></div>
<div style="color: purple;">
People need to take one about this album, honestly. I like this song. My version is not very good in quality because I pirated it (with intent to buy, calm your tits), so I have only listened to it a few times, but I really do like it. People have whinged, said that her complaint about having to go to sleep and wake up when told is not valid and it's a pissy complaint. It's not. It's all to do with bodily autonomy, which Emily-with-a-Y lost in the asylum. She doesn't choose when she wakes up, she doesn't choose when she sleeps. Furthermore, there are plenty of peole - Emilie, myself, and plenty of you, I bet - who find it not only impossible, but damaging to be told when you have to sleep. I've always been a nightowl, due to the assburgers, and going to school seriously messed with that. <i>Shut up about this too, because you don't know.</i> It would fit in nicely with Emily's first day, I think. Sinister. Great.</div>
<div style="color: purple;">
<br /></div>
<div style="color: purple;">
<b>6: Girls! Girls! Girls!</b></div>
<div style="color: purple;">
Another of my favourites. Yes, she does all the different voices here. Yes, she puts on British accents. Let it go. It's a good song, jaunty, fun, historically accurate. Yes, they actually did this shit. It's messed up. It's all essentially my style. Also, they performed it on the Fox morning show in Detroit. This amuses me to no end. It's more fun live, but it's great fun to listen to. Having not read the book, I'm not sure when to place this, but it would definitely be in there. <b>EDIT:</b> I did remember one thing that annoyed me. "Conversate" isn't a word. "Too much serious conversating" should be "conversing."<br />
</div>
<div style="color: purple;">
<b> </b></div>
<div style="color: purple;">
<b>7: I Don't Understand</b></div>
<div style="color: purple;">
<a href="http://www.bryanreesman.com/blog/wp-content/uploads/2009/11/EAWhite5jpgEAWhite5.jpg" imageanchor="1" style="clear: right; float: right; margin-bottom: 1em; margin-left: 1em;"><img border="0" height="320" src="http://www.bryanreesman.com/blog/wp-content/uploads/2009/11/EAWhite5jpgEAWhite5.jpg" width="212" /></a>This song, you guise. You guise. You guise. This song. I think it's a great song for a musical. It has the two characters talking to each other, interacting. That's how this shit works. I think it's fantastic. It is emotional, without being melodramatic. Good stuff. It's a moment of affection and tenderness in an otherwise quite horrible situation.</div>
<div style="color: purple;">
<b></b><br /></div>
<div style="color: purple;">
<b>8: We Want Them Young</b></div>
<div style="color: purple;">
This is the one I don't have. I have to say, though: yeah, it'd work excellently. Given that I have only listened to it a few times, I can't say anything more in-depth. It sounds good and you will like it in your ears. First night song, I think.</div>
<div style="color: purple;">
<br /></div>
<div style="color: purple;">
<b>9: If I Burn</b></div>
<div style="color: purple;">
Out of the songs I really like, I probably would place this at the bottom. I still like it. It's not my favourite, but I still like it. It's part of the story. I can imagine Emily singing this during torture. It's so threatening. It would give any psychotic psychiatrist pause, I think. I would possibly put this somewhere around halfway or just before intermission, and possibly tone the vocals up a bit, make them angrier.</div>
<div style="color: purple;">
<br /></div>
<div style="color: purple;">
<b>10: Scavenger</b></div>
<div style="color: purple;">
This is the song I don't like. I think it's really just because I haven't read the book and don't have the context. I'll leave it at that and update it when I've read the book. That sounds fair.</div>
<div style="color: purple;">
<b> </b></div>
<div style="color: purple;">
<b>11: Gaslight</b></div>
<div style="color: purple;">
<a href="http://www.rosaselvaggia.com/emilie-autumn-10.jpg" imageanchor="1" style="clear: right; float: right; margin-bottom: 1em; margin-left: 1em;"><img border="0" height="133" src="http://www.rosaselvaggia.com/emilie-autumn-10.jpg" width="200" /></a><i>This is my second favourite</i>. I love this song. It is beautiful. It's not optimised on the album, I imagine because it's a song to be performed, not just sung - but even so, it is VERY easy to imagine this performed just before the climax, the part where she is "pushed over," or even just after "We Want Them Young," if placed when I suggested.<b> </b><b></b>It's lovely and reminds me a bit of "I Dreamed a Dream" from Les Mis. It's probably this production's version. I would also possibly put this as just before intermission, as well, depending on the placement of other songs, to make room for the instrumental reprise.</div>
<div style="color: purple;">
<br /></div>
<div style="color: purple;">
<b>12: The Key</b></div>
<div style="color: purple;">
This song is also one of my favourites. Some think it wouldn't work well on stage, but I wholeheartedly disagree - yes, it narrates what's going on. Musicals do that. Anyone who thinks it wouldn't work needs to read opera lyrics, because this is what most of them are. Having her singing with the other characters acting around her would be very visually and stylistically consistent, and it's a great song. As stated, placing it just before "Time For Tea."</div>
<div style="color: purple;">
<b> </b></div>
<div style="color: purple;">
<b>13: Hell Is Empty</b></div>
<div style="color: purple;">
Nooot really much to say about this, but I really would put this after "Time For Tea," with that song as the girls preparing for a fight, ending in the first death, and this one as death is sort of going on around the place.</div>
<div style="color: purple;">
<b> </b><b></b></div>
<div style="color: purple;">
<b>14: Gaslight Reprise</b></div>
<div style="color: purple;">
Another instrumental. Where I would place this, I'm unsure. Possibly as overture music from the intermission. It would depend on the placement of the other songs, I suppose!</div>
<div style="color: purple;">
<b></b><br /></div>
<div style="color: purple;">
<b>15: Goodnight, Sweet Ladies</b></div>
<div style="color: purple;">
<a href="http://24.media.tumblr.com/tumblr_lci2jjjmYJ1qzerdwo1_400.jpg" imageanchor="1" style="clear: right; float: right; margin-bottom: 1em; margin-left: 1em;"><img border="0" height="320" src="http://24.media.tumblr.com/tumblr_lci2jjjmYJ1qzerdwo1_400.jpg" width="213" /></a><i>This is my favourite.</i> I think it's beautiful, and a perfect finale. People die in this story, dude, and it's a great song to gather the surviving girls and have them join in freedom or some hippie crap like that. <b>It's perfect for the finale. That is all.</b></div>
<div style="color: purple;">
<br /></div>
<div style="color: purple;">
<b>16: Start Another Story</b></div>
<div style="color: purple;">
Another one that I don't have a good version of. I will update this along with a purchase of the album.</div>
<div style="color: purple;">
<br /></div>
<div style="color: purple;">
<b>17: One Foot In Front Of The Other</b></div>
<div style="color: purple;">
While I don't have a working version of this, either, I think this would be a great song to tack onto the end of "Goodnight, Sweet Ladies", and attach "Fight Like A Girl" too, and just make it a medley. I can't see it working any other way. Good song though. Tops.</div>
<div style="color: purple;">
<br /></div>
<div style="color: purple;">
<b>And thus ends the album.</b> It was smashing. Really. I loved it. I hope to be in the UK by 2014, so....hopefully I can go see the stage production!<br />
<br />
I hope I can update the bits when I get my book and CD, and this review will be finished. In the meantime, I think I did a pretty good job! I really hope the production goes well for her and people will just shut the fuck up instead of trash talking her on the internet.</div>
<div style="color: purple;">
<br /></div>
<div style="color: purple;">
Much love,</div>

Oh hey look it's me!</div>
<div style="color: purple;">
<br /></div>
<div style="color: purple;">
Yes, I'm back! Hopefully for good this time!</div>
<div style="color: purple;">
<br /></div>
<div style="color: purple;">
I have missed blogging. Yes, yes I have. But what happened? Well.</div>
<div style="color: purple;">
<br /></div>
<div style="color: purple;">
I think we left off just after I moved house. Since then, my health has rapidly declined. No, I haven't got any better. I basically breathe through an asthma puffer, I am in near constant pain, and my eyesight has gotten worse. But for now? I'm fine.</div>
<div style="color: purple;">
<br /></div>
<div style="color: purple;">
A lot has changed! Mostly, my hair. Shit, my hair changed. When I left you all, it was this:</div>
<div style="color: purple;">
<br /></div>
<div class="separator" style="clear: both; color: purple; text-align: center;">
<a href="https://blogger.googleusercontent.com/img/b/R29vZ2xl/AVvXsEjBhrYjKdANL3C1YOEo2F3gXroGYWk2mFvpkXCnM_lLOgFGHIQg0qUtIq271nprHM0BHpb99TP3825dYbob20nd-n-DSJ4RMwg6c47LSWSSEOUorEaZftaZ-Y4IPHlvZHcx68qU6ru0UPXj/s1600/wat+is+this.jpg" imageanchor="1" style="margin-left: 1em; margin-right: 1em;"><img border="0" height="269" src="https://blogger.googleusercontent.com/img/b/R29vZ2xl/AVvXsEjBhrYjKdANL3C1YOEo2F3gXroGYWk2mFvpkXCnM_lLOgFGHIQg0qUtIq271nprHM0BHpb99TP3825dYbob20nd-n-DSJ4RMwg6c47LSWSSEOUorEaZftaZ-Y4IPHlvZHcx68qU6ru0UPXj/s320/wat+is+this.jpg" width="320" /></a></div>
<div style="color: purple;">
<br /></div>

Hi everypony! I have been so bad lately. Anyway, just updating to let you know that Shaun, the Bedlam Brothers and myself will be relocating from Sunshine to Newport, which is much closer to the city than we are. Two-bedroom flat, really lovely - I'll get photos when I can. Shaun will get his first pay on Thursday, and hopefully thereafter I can return to my regular posting! I just have not been well enough to do much. Some therapudic shopping should do...</div>
<div style="color: purple;">
<br /></div>
<div style="color: purple;">
Until then, I will just love and tolerate the shit out of you.</div>

If you're as much in love with <a href="http://www.danideathbiscuit.blogspot.com.au/">Dani Deathbiscuit</a> as I am (she routinely propositions me in broken Dutch), you would have heard about <a href="http://gothandmore.proboards.com/">our forums</a>. The oh-so-talented <a href="http://candyophobia.blogspot.com.au/">Laura, aka Sheridan</a>, went ahead and made a forum instead of getting ready for school one day, in between teaching me how to ask people if they wanted to see my tits in Dutch. It's still being worked on, but I wanted to extend the invite!</div>
<div style="color: purple;">
<br /></div>

<tr><td class="tr-caption" style="text-align: center;">As you can see, I still <i>look</i> fine. ;DFunny story. I don't actually <br />
look like this in real life. I don't know what happened! </td></tr>
</tbody></table>
<div style="color: purple;">
And as for what's going on in my life, I'm afraid my health has taken a turn for the worst. Constantly uncomfortable, knees killing me (I got out of bed and ended up at a pro-gay marriage rally in Melbourne today!), back killing me, horrible vomiting feelings. It's at least nice and chilly here at the moment. I've been trying to help my health with huge doses of <a href="http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=ZP2eAa5Mpx8">Chip Coffey</a> (from about 7:00 onwards is where the magic happens) and <a href="http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=N1TzNINITtM">My Little Pony</a>. Seems to have helped.</div>
<div style="color: purple;">
<br /></div>
<div style="color: purple;">
Shaun has finally found some secure employment, Heather is moving down, and the cats are happy and healthy and being the best of company. We will be moving oh so soon.</div>
<div style="color: purple;">
<br /></div>
<div style="color: purple;">
Apart from my heath QQ-ing everything, life is good! </div>

Here are just a couple of pictures of my darling Bedlam Boys. Although a bit bored because we can't let them out of our room most days, they are quite happy playing with each other.</div>
<div style="color: purple;">
<br /></div>
<div style="color: purple;">
Came home smelling like dogs today, as I stopped to cuddle with so many! One labradour nearly killed his owner dragging him along to run up to me. They rounded a corner, the dog spotted me and ran STRAIGHT over. I don't know why, but he was a very cute 6-month-old!</div>

Because it's been so cold, the cats have been mostly sleeping under the blankets with me all day. Shaun works five or six days a week, and they are fantastic company. </div>

<span style="color: purple;">A little while ago, drunk on my own power, I finally worked up the courage to ask Lucy, one of my all-around favourite youtubers, for an interview. She obliged (yeah, I don't know why either!) and I am ever so excited to finally get around to posting it up!</span><br />
<br />
<br />
<span style="color: purple;">Kitty: To satisfy my own curiousity, I would love to know your ethnicity - you are just so lovely-looking and unique, I can't pin it down for the life of me. That probably sounds really creepy.</span><br />
<br />
<blockquote class="tr_bq" style="color: purple;">
<span style="color: black;">Lucy: In order of largest percentage to smallest, I have the following ancestry: African (I guess you can say "black", like from Ghana), Caucasian (western Europe including English, Scottish, German, French), East Indian, Chinese, and Native South American (Aztec). Since there are some adoptions and some lost papers, there is a small percentage of unknown lineage. All my ancestors ended up in the Caribbean for one reason or another, and I was born in Canada. I identify myself as Jamaican-Canadian. </span></blockquote>
<span style="color: purple;"> </span><br />
<span style="color: purple;">Kitty: Tell me about your corset experiences - best, worst, favourite, and your first.</span><br />
<span style="color: purple;"> </span><br />
<blockquote class="tr_bq" style="color: black;">
Lucy: My first corset experience was when I was about 15. My mother made me a black Victorian gown for Halloween and also a makeshift corset (a modified longline bra) and petticoat to go underneath. Since I was a stick figure at that age, I was thrilled by my new hourglass figure from the corset, and I loved the feeling of being held. I thought it was the coolest feeling to relax and "lean back" in the corset, and still be sitting ramrod straight. :D</blockquote>

<blockquote class="tr_bq" style="color: black;">
My worst corset experience was probably early on in my daily waist training about two years ago, and I was boarding the bus home from university. The bus took off before I was able to sit down and the inertia knocked me off balance - I engaged my core muscles reflexively to regain it, but since I was in my corset I ended up pulling a side muscle pretty badly. I had to take a week or two off training for my oblique muscle to heal.</blockquote>
<blockquote class="tr_bq" style="color: purple;">
<span style="color: black;">My favourite corset experience... I'm not entirely sure I have a favourite! Wearing a corset to a formal event and having some ladies gasp and fawn over my outfit is always fun. (Men never really comment on my attire but I sometimes receive buggy eyes.) My first corset photoshoot was also a great experience! However I'm sure I will have even greater corset experiences in the future, so I'm holding out on that "favourite" moment. ;)</span> </blockquote>
<span style="color: purple;"> </span><br />
<span style="color: purple;">Kitty: Going off that question, the corset that you wear the most? I haven't gotten around to watching your collection video yet, but I want to bet you have over 9000! Is it ever hard to pick just one?</span><br />
<br />

</tbody></table>
<blockquote class="tr_bq" style="color: purple;">
<span style="color: black;">Lucy: Haha, not quite over 9000 Vegeta, but somewhere between 30-40. The plan WAS to have a different corset to wear every day of the month, but not all corsets are that practical to wear. It's very difficult to pick just one at times! Of course, I have some that I wear more often than others.</span><span style="color: black;"></span> </blockquote>
<blockquote class="tr_bq" style="color: purple;">
<span style="color: black;">At this time, I wear my waist training underbust from Heavenly Corsets or my Josephine underbust from Isabella Corsetry a lot in the daytime, and my WKD Baby cincher at night (if I choose to corset at night). On the days that I focus on getting a lot of sewing done, I don't corset at all. Therein lies the irony - I can't wear corsets while I'm making corsets. </span></blockquote>
<span style="color: purple;"> </span><br />
<span style="color: purple;">Kitty: Do you have any corsets that you just feel are too precious to wear? Like the antique one I linked you to a little while ago. How about ones that look pretty on display, but terrible on?</span><br />
<span style="color: purple;"> </span><br />
<blockquote class="tr_bq" style="color: purple;">
<span style="color: black;">Lucy: I have a few corsets like that - although I don't have any antique corsets, my "couture" overbusts are precious to me - these are the overbusts by Electra Designs, Puimond and Sparklewren. Sometimes I feel that I don't quite do them justice when I wear them, or that I need a special occasion to wear them.</span> </blockquote>
<blockquote class="tr_bq" style="color: purple;">
<span style="color: black;">Some of them have an extremely deep plunge and as such they're not suitable for casual attire and wearing a shirt underneath some of them just looks ridiculous. I also rarely wear them because I'm absolutely paranoid about spilling drinks/food on them, wearing them on a day where there's a chance of rain, etc.</span><br />

<br />
<span style="color: purple;">Kitty: Corset regrets - do you have any? The one that cost way too much for bad quality, youthful over-keen purchases where you bought a plastic boned one and thought you were just the coolest thing (you are)? </span><br />
<br />
<blockquote class="tr_bq" style="color: purple;">
<span style="color: black;">Lucy: Oh God, too many regrets to count. What I thought was my first "official" purchased tightlacing corset so many years ago ended up being a cheap plastic-boned thing from Burleska.</span> </blockquote>
<blockquote class="tr_bq" style="color: purple;">

I'm now out by several hundred dollars and own several relatively ill-fitting corsets.I have also purchased corsets from some companies like Orchard Corset or Gallery Serpentine solely on the requests of some viewers - I wouldn't have made the purchases if I hadn't been pressured by so many to do reviews on them, and I had severe buyer's remorse.</span> </blockquote>
<blockquote class="tr_bq" style="color: purple;">
<span style="color: black;">Some people don't realize how much of my savings I've spent just on filling requests on my Youtube channel. However, by doing reviews on those corsets, I've been told I've saved hundreds of other people from making the same expensive mistakes, so I try to think altruistically and say that it wasn't a total waste.</span></blockquote>
<br />
<br />
<span style="color: purple;">Kitty: How did you get into corsetry, and could you explain the tightlacing method you use? Are there any mistakes you made that you would like to share, or things that seemed a great idea at the time but were really quite terrible in retrospect? </span><br />
<br />
<blockquote class="tr_bq" style="color: black;">
Lucy: How exactly I got into corsetry is a very long complicated story, but basically I started getting serious about corsetry around the age of 18 or 19 when I was getting more into anime, manga and cosplay. It was at that point that I made my first Victorian corset and started "waist training" in a sense. My naturally ridiculously long hair and small waist made accurate cosplay very easy for me.</blockquote>

<blockquote class="tr_bq" style="color: black;">
Once I purchased my first custom-fit waist training corset around 2 years ago, very early on in my training, I was impatient and I tried to tighten the corset as much as I could and wear it as long as I possibly good, simply trying to "bear up" when it became painful. That was a terrible idea - not only did it cause discomfort that prevented me from training for weeks after that incident, but I also became discouraged and formed a negative attitude around corseting. </blockquote>
<blockquote class="tr_bq" style="color: purple;">
<span style="color: black;">After that, I purchased the book "Corset Magic" by Ann Grogan and followed the "rollercoaster method" explained in that book - the basic outline for that training process is to pick an initial reduction (say a corseted measurement of 24") and over a number of weeks, staying at that measurement but slowly working up the number of hours until you're comfortably able to wear your corset at that reduction all day. Once that occurs, then you may further reduce your waist (say, to 23.5") but then drop the number of hours worn at that reduction, once again working your way up to wearing it all day. I've found this method makes the most sense to me.</span></blockquote>
<br />
<span style="color: purple;">Kitty: One last question, and I'm desperate to know the answer: Your HAIR. How do you manage to look after so much lovely hair - or end up with that much of it?! I have a thick head of hair, but I've taken the "I can do what I want with it, I'll just wear a wig if it falls out" approach. </span><br />

<blockquote class="tr_bq" style="color: black;">
Lucy: Being able to grow long hair is very easy for both women and men in my family - even my cousins with extremely curly hair (remember the African lineage) have been able to grow their hair easily halfway down their backs and longer. I'm very fortunate to have loose curls in my hair so I haven't had to chemically straighten my hair and I very rarely use heat on it (I'll flat-iron it maybe a couple times a year) - I simply put it up in a protective hairstyle like a bun or a braid, and it keeps my hair out of the way. When I take my hair down, it will end up fairly straight or with some nice waves.</blockquote>
<blockquote class="tr_bq" style="color: black;">
People ask me all the time what kinds of products I use for my hair, but I will always say the same thing - which shampoo you use will be absolutely useless if you don't first START with healthy hair, and that comes from eating healthy and taking care of your body. There are no shortcuts in this respect.</blockquote>

<tr><td class="tr-caption" style="text-align: center;">awwww. :3</td></tr>
</tbody></table><div style="color: purple;"> Anyway, today we went to look at an apartment up the road. It's small but nice, I really like it. Hopefully we'll be able to get it. Here's what my face looked like. My webcam dislikes unnatural light, so it just sort of went "no". Shaun had to hold the lamp up to me. :P</div><div style="color: purple;"><br />
</div><div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: center;"><a href="https://blogger.googleusercontent.com/img/b/R29vZ2xl/AVvXsEg6XuUFRVHqjxENnLbOkhr1jgr2XaOE-KESZqpQNWsdSWU8JqZ3JLMpydRKerJT90FZBdA-rNPkZaZlRnUMLy1PvdMcDwRyUvbyhzHXGsXJ2A3dFEiDc8tX4DJIHLarNYqlppf64n3xgL_-/s1600/Snapshot_20120424_2.JPG" imageanchor="1" style="clear: right; float: right; margin-bottom: 1em; margin-left: 1em;"><img border="0" height="320" src="https://blogger.googleusercontent.com/img/b/R29vZ2xl/AVvXsEg6XuUFRVHqjxENnLbOkhr1jgr2XaOE-KESZqpQNWsdSWU8JqZ3JLMpydRKerJT90FZBdA-rNPkZaZlRnUMLy1PvdMcDwRyUvbyhzHXGsXJ2A3dFEiDc8tX4DJIHLarNYqlppf64n3xgL_-/s400/Snapshot_20120424_2.JPG" width="400" /></a></div><div style="color: purple;">Foundation - Illamasqua Skin Base SB002 and Illamasqua Pressed Powder in PF002</div><div style="color: purple;"><br />

</div><div style="color: purple;">Cheeks - Nabi blush in "Lilac".</div><div style="color: purple;"><br />
</div><div style="color: purple;">Lips - Manic Panic "Blood Red".</div><div style="color: purple;"><br />

I just sort of put it in a bun and wave-efied some of the side bits. :D</div><div style="color: purple;"><br />
</div><div style="color: purple;">Observant readers would notice that there's something new on the bell on my neck - it's a gold ring with cat ears, sent to me by the darling Dani Deathbiscuit of <a href="http://www.danideathbiscuit.blogspot.com.au/">Confessions of an Australian Goth</a>. She saw it and just KNEW I had to have it.</div><div style="color: purple;"><br />
</div><div style="color: purple;">As for my back pain, things seem okay. The pain pills seem to be working although they have done nothing for this migrain! The weather seems to, though, as it has gone from "a bit sunny, occasionally" to dreary and wonderful. I've been able to walk around for longer, and with less pain. Shaun says I'm less moody too, but what does he know?!</div><div style="color: purple;"><br />

</tbody></table><div style="color: purple;">We're getting along fine, though. Things are better this week, although we still have nowhere to move. XD</div><div style="color: purple;"><br />
</div><div style="color: purple;">I wish I could post something more interesting! Blar.</div><div style="color: purple;"><br />
</div><div style="color: purple;">I was thinking about putting a "donate" button up on the sidebar and setting that up. I might still do, if we need it. All blog money will of course go towards cats, our own and street cats, and if we manage to get our own place, it will also go towards foster kittens.</div><div style="color: purple;"><br />
</div><div style="color: purple;">Anyway, my darlings, that was our day. How are you all? Do check in with me every once in a while, you are all always on my mind.</div><div style="color: purple;"><br />

I topped up throughout the day with MP and some Illamasqua Intense Gloss in "Besotted".</div><div style="color: purple;"><br />
</div><div style="color: purple;">So anyway, yesterday I FINALLY made it to the doctor's about my crippling spine and leg pain. I was running late, and felt REALLY bad about it (I apologised over 9000 times) - and I proved to the girls over at the facebook group why I should <i>never ever ever </i>be allowed out in public.</div><div style="color: purple;"><br />
</div><div style="color: purple;">I have a MASSIVE key chain. I own a total of three keys. The key chain is huge because it contains some Monster High bits and bobs, a TARDIS that lights up and wooshes, and a cyberman head that talks to you. The cyberman is a bit old, and was sent to me all the way from England, and so he goes off at the lightest touch. I was moving my bag so a family could move past me, and he went off. "You will be upgraded," he said. "Or you will be deleted."</div><div style="color: purple;"><br />
</div><div style="color: purple;">The room fell dead silent. <i>Sixty people stared at me</i>. The most rational response was of course to say, "Cyberman, that is <i>not</i> how we talk to people! You can be so childish sometimes." <i>BECAUSE THAT'S NOT WEIRD AT ALL GODDAMMIT.</i></div><div style="color: purple;"><br />
</div><div style="color: purple;">Anyway, two prescriptions and a dozen x-rays later, I managed to worm my way into putting off getting a blood test until Monday. Hooray! I also have <i>extremely</i> strong pain killers to take, which seem to kill zero pain but instead make me not care about how much it hurts.</div><div style="color: purple;"><br />

<br />
<span style="color: purple;">Anyway, this is really just some more Filthy Victorians stuff. I know. I've been a shit blogger and I am really upset I didn't get to go through with the plans for the year. It really upsets me that i didn't get that chance. With my health absolutely falling apart, having had to stay in bed for pretty much the last few weeks with chronic pain, fatigue and emotional stuff, and the fact that our housemates are <i>crazy</i> and we are getting evicted because we...are nice and tidy up after them apparently (sin of sins) i just haven't found the energy to dress up and be lovely and my usual self.</span><br />
<br />
<span style="color: purple;">Honestly? I feel lonely. I feel like no one wants me around or wants to talk to me. It seems like people who were talking to me only a few weeks ago are avoiding me.</span><br />
<br />
<span style="color: purple;">Having Heather down for all of last week was a nice break. She's moving down soon. But in the meantime I am just not coping.</span><br />
<br />
<span style="color: purple;">I feel like I'm alone. All the time. I know I'm not, I know I'm never <i>really</i> alone but, still, everything seems to be getting away from me. I feel vague and on the outside of everything.</span><br />
<span style="color: purple;"><br />
</span><br />
<span style="color: purple;">Do you all just want me to go away? Because I will, if I'm not wanted around anymore. It's okay. Please just someone tell me what I'm missing and what's going on.</span>Kitty Lovett; The Unadulterated Cathttp://www.blogger.com/profile/16912762946623443410noreply@blogger.com14tag:blogger.com,1999:blog-6646448695483089014.post-87999886077415661832012-04-14T19:12:00.001-07:002012-04-14T19:12:43.291-07:00YAY<span style="color: purple;">Finally, a break from being sad and trying to find a new house, to tell you all. </div><div style="color: purple;">With my eyes going on that downward slope I was having trouble reading my own fucking blog. So no more black backgrounds! Plus I like pink.</div><div style="color: purple;"><br />
</div><div style="color: purple;">Now, this is going to take a turn for the worse. Pastel goth.</div><div style="color: purple;"><br />

</tbody></table><div style="color: purple;"> I think pastel goth should be, oh, I don't fucking know, <i>goth but pastel</i>? Not "goth with kawaii" (don't. even. go there) or "How about we just make a denim vest with a floral inverted cross on the back! Call it goth!"</div><div style="color: purple;"><br />
</div><div style="color: purple;">There is nothing <i>wrong</i> with a lot of pastel goth fashion. A lot of it is cute. But that doesn't excuse the <i>gallons and gallons of crap oozing from the subculture</i>.</div><div style="color: purple;"><br />
</div><div style="color: purple;">Real pastel goths, goths in pastel, <i>stand the fuck up and just say no.</i></div>Kitty Lovett; The Unadulterated Cathttp://www.blogger.com/profile/16912762946623443410noreply@blogger.com12tag:blogger.com,1999:blog-6646448695483089014.post-21283687489085081462012-04-01T03:46:00.000-07:002012-04-01T03:46:39.559-07:00Let There Be Tumblog<span style="color: purple;">So today I jumped on the tumblr bandwagon. <a href="http://anonymousgothcat.tumblr.com/">Here it is</a>. I will be using it to blog and reblog .gifs and pictures I am too lazy to upload here.</span><br />
<br />
<span style="color: purple;">Don't worry. I'll still be blogging here, as regularly as usual.</span><br />
<br />
<span style="color: purple;">Hopefully I will be overhauling this blog's layout.</span><br />
<br />
<span style="color: purple;">Is the colour scheme in the tumblr grating to anyone? It isn't to me, but if it bothers anyone I will change it.</span><br />

I went the other week (although with the time it took to write this post it was nearly five weeks ago) with my sister, mum, and baby nephew Rudy. Rudy is 8 months old, and very cute. He didn't cry once, and was more interested in the trees and the wind than the animals - but oh well, we had fun.</span><br />

My arms are kind of short due to the fact I am tinycat so it's hard to take decent photos. I also tried to get lemur photos but they were all sitting in the sun so they were just patches of glare.</span><br />

Caniformia</i> can wait for another day. As the definition states, it is a large suborder within <i>Carnivora</i>. (<i>Fun fact:</i> The southern elephant seal is the biggest member of <i>Carnivora</i>. Yes, even bigger than polar bears. Here is their <a href="http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Southern_elephant_seal">wiki</a>. Note the sexual dysmorphia between the bull and cow. Poor ladies, I know that feel.) I will be making a series of posts on <i>feliformia.</i></span><br />
<br />
<span style="color: purple;">More specifically than just<i> </i>feliforms for the next few posts, however, I will be talking about <i>felidae</i> - both big, and small, cats. Can we break for a kitty picture? Yes? Yes we...? Yes we can. Okay. Break for a kitty picture.</span><br />

</tbody></table><span style="color: purple;"><i>Felidae</i> can be broken into two parts: <i>felinae</i> and <i>pantherinae. Felinae</i> are the "small cats" - domestic cats, servals, caracals, and interestingly enough, cheetas. Cheetas are not big cats. Who knew, right? And <i>pantherinae</i> are the "big cats" - leopards, tigers, lions, snow leopards (usually thought of as the "big attraction" animals for zoos).</span><br />
<br />
<span style="color: purple;">What is interesting, however, is the fact that while most species of cats are considered solitary, there are so many exceptions to this that it always seemed a little strange to rule them so strictly. While you get some dogs that don't like other dogs, and some cats that don't like other cats, they are social animals - but while many cats, big and small, are thought of as "solitary", the overwhelming number of "but some individuals have been observed" should change the classification to "semi-social". But that is my opinion, not a university student or anything.</span><br />

<span style="color: purple;"><span style="color: purple;">Of the feline family, the small cats, there are 34 distinct species (according to my sawses, I could be wrong however, and have miscounted. Regardless, there are 41 known felids, including <i>pantherinae</i>). They range from small (the sand cat) to the large (the cheetah, and puma). </span></span><span style="color: purple;"><span style="color: purple;">Most people have never heard of most of these species before, and little to no conservation effort is being made in the public arena</span></span><span style="color: purple;"><span style="color: purple;"> outside of specialist groups. <br />
<span style="color: purple;"><span style="color: purple;">The most critically endangered cat, native to Southern Europe and the Iberian Peninsula. Like other lynx, they have tall ears ending with fur tufts. They have leopardlike spots and a short tail, no longer than a foot long (which is short, on a feline that is over a metre long). Males average 12.9kg, with a maximum of nearly 25kg, whereas the females average around 9kg. They are vulnerable to myxomatosis, which it may catch from its main prey of rabbits. Threats to this species include habitat loss, poisoning, road kills, and poaching, however much of its decline in the last decade is caused by myxomatosis.</span></span><br />

<span style="color: purple;"><span style="color: purple;">A wild cat endemic to Borneo. The bay cat is very rare, very shy and very secretive. Wikipedia notes that a trap camera study from 2003 to 2006, with a total of 5, 034 combined camera hours, yeilded one photograph of the animal. Too few species have been studied for size and weight estimate, gathered information puts them at upwards of 40cm long with a foot-or-so-long tail. They were once thought to be a kitten of the Asian Golden Cat. Their tail is reddish with a white stripe down the underside like a stoat or marten. Its main threats are encroaching humans, deforestation and palm oil harvesting.<b> </b></span></span><br />

Occasionally resembling a possum or prosimian (lesser ape), they are distiguishable by their depressed skull stucture which causes a lateral distending of the muzzle, and lending to its possumlike appearance. It has reddish, roan and brown fur, with proportionally large canine teeth, nearly as long as a cat twice its size. It is 40-50cm long with a short tail of about 14cm. They will wash objects in water, similar to raccoons, and seem to eat mainly fish (either live, which they will take at least two metres from the water before eating, or dead), frogs and rats. Their main threats are deforestation, palm oil harvesting and poison. They are also under threat from poisoning and trapping by humans and overhunting and fishing of their natural diets.</span><br />

They are more or less the small version of the snow leopard, prefering the cold climates of the Andes. Their isolated habitat makes it difficult to study, and as such Andean Mountain Cats </span><span style="color: purple;">are one of the least known and rarest of all of the small cats. They prey largely on southern viscachas (a member of the chinchilla family), but it was thought the chinchilla was a large part of its diet before they were hunted for fur. They look, behave and prey on the same species as their more common cousin, the Pampas cat. Prior to 1998, this cat was known only by two photographs. Habitat loss and degradation and human encroachment make up most of the threats to the species.</span><br />

As its name suggests, its main prey is fish. They are fantastic swimmers, even able to swim underwater for long distances. They live mostly in wetlands and mangroves, the destruction of which has lead to the rapid decline of the species. They are around 70cm long with a tail up to 30cm long. There have been individuals exceeding a metre in body length, with tails up to 60cm long, or more. Conservation efforts are being made by zoos worldwide - every captive fishing cat in the world is in the World Association of Zoos and Aquariums International Studbook. Habitat destruction and human fishing is the main cause of endangerment of the species.</span><br />

It also has horizontal lines on its face, more visible in some individuals than others. They range from 69-84cm long, with a tail between 29-41cm. Their main diet consist of pikas, rodents and birds. It lives primarily around South-Western African countries, and live a strictly nocturnal and solitary life. They are highly unsocial and shy, but are very tenacious. According to an African legend, it could kill a giraffe by piercing its jugular, a myth emphasising the bravery of the animal. It never grows longer than 48cm, with a tail between 15-30cm. It can weigh as little as 0.9kg, and only as much as 1.6kg. Its fur is short, since its prefered habitat is heavy vegetation and rocky areas. The fur is mostly grey with rusty spots on its hindquarters. The underbelly has black spots on a mainly white surface, not unlike a domestic tabby. It has a thick, darker and around half the length of the body. Its spots are not as noticeable. While originally thought to only inhabit the south of India, studies show they are found all through the country. At birth, its kittens (usually one or two) have rows of black spots, and no more than 77g. The threats facing this unique animal are the spreading cultivation and industrialisation of both of the countries, mainly due to western influence and unstable economic growth. Anecdotal evidence shows they make very affectionate pets. The <a href="http://animaldiversity.ummz.umich.edu/site/accounts/information/Prionailurus_rubiginosus.html">Animal Diversity website</a> says this about the species: <i>"</i></span><i>When taken captive, the rusty-spotted cat is a very affectionate, playful, and expressive cat, that longs for the company and attention of its owner<span style="color: purple;">."</span></i><br />

<b><span style="color: purple;">Marbled Cat</span></b><br />
<span style="color: purple;">The last cat on our list is a small cat from Asia and South-East Asia. It is closely related to both the Bay Cat and the Asian Golden Cat. Similarly sized to the domestic cat, it has a tail with thick fur, which may be longer than the body. It does not weigh more than 5kg, as it spends most of its life in trees. With banded, blotchy fur like marble, it is similar in appearance to clouded leopards. It has spots on its legs, head and underside, with dark bands on its long tail. It measures between 45cm and 62cm, with a tail as long as 55cm. </span><br />

<tr><td class="tr-caption" style="text-align: center;"><span style="color: purple;">Zoo-Foto.cz - I thought this was a lovely photo!</span></td></tr>
</tbody></table><span style="color: purple;">Along with its long tail, it is distinguishable by its unusually large feet, suited to its life in trees, and it shares this with the Clouded Leopard (and in my experience, the snow leopard, which has the most disproportional feet I've ever seen!). Wikipedia also nots the following: </span><i><span style="color: purple;">"</span>It also possesses unusually large <a href="http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Canine_tooth" title="Canine tooth">canine teeth</a>, resembling those of the big cats, although these appear to be the result of <a href="http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Parallel_evolution" title="Parallel evolution">parallel evolution</a>." </i><span style="color: purple;">They are found in tropical forests of the Indomalaya region, and westward as far as Nepal, as well as China, Borneo and Sumatra. The first radio-tracked marble cat had a range of 5.8 square kilometres, at an elevation between 1000m and 1500m. They have two kittens per litter, and weigh up to 85g at birth. Eyes open at twelve days, and solid food is taken at two months, which Wikipedia indicates is the same time they "begin actively climbing". Its forest home has been shrinking, and while they have always been rarely sighted, they are in danger of extinction as less than 10 000 mature individuals are thought to exist.</span><br />

</tbody></table><span style="color: purple;"><b>Feral Cats and How You Can Help.</b></span><br />
<br />
<span style="color: purple;">Feral cats are domestic cats that have reverted to a wild state, or born in such conditions. They are distinct from stray cats in that strays show little to no agression towards humans, and can easily be caught and rehomed with humans. There are also semi-feral cats, such as <a href="http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Farm_cat">farm cats</a>. Feral cats have little to no positive interactions with humans, and reguard them with fear, suspicion or aggression. Every year, hundreds of thousands of feral cats are killed by humans, whether accidentally, or on purpose. They are likely to die very young, from fighting, disease, poison and over-breeding.</span><br />
<br />
<span style="color: purple;">Feral cats pose a danger to wildlife, and here in Australia are often poisoned as a nuisance and as pests, and animal abuse with cats in rural towns is considered "boys will be boys", and no one is punished for the heinous torture of cats and kittens. <a href="http://www.avma.org/avmacollections/feral_cats/javma_225_9_1354.pdf">Studies show</a>, however, that the most effective way of controlling populations is the "trap-neuter-release" method, where ferals are trapped, sterilised, an ear tipped to mark their sterilisation and are released back into their environments. More information on the lives of feral cats can be found <a href="http://feralcat.com/">here.</a></span><br />
<table cellpadding="0" cellspacing="0" class="tr-caption-container" style="float: left; margin-right: 1em; text-align: left;"><tbody>
<tr><td style="text-align: center;"><a href="http://www.angells-au.com/site_images/feral_cat.jpg" imageanchor="1" style="clear: left; margin-bottom: 1em; margin-left: auto; margin-right: auto;"><img border="0" height="320" src="http://www.angells-au.com/site_images/feral_cat.jpg" width="274" /></a></td></tr>
<tr style="color: purple;"><td class="tr-caption" style="text-align: center;">Wikipedia.</td></tr>
</tbody></table><span style="color: purple;"><br />
</span><br />
<span style="color: purple;">Helping feral cats, and wild cats around the world, is easy. Donate your money, or better yet, your time to organisations that help stray and feral cats. Organisations like the Big Cat Rescue in Tampa, Florida dedicate themselves to helping wildcats and big cats in private zoos.</span><br />
<span style="color: purple;"><br />
</span><br />
<span style="color: purple;">More ways to help feral cats are to try and give time to cat shelters, and foster cats and kittens until they can be adopted. Spreading awareness of the plight of cats, domestic and wild, worldwide will help save millions of individuals. To help protect wildcats, check your food and toilet paper ingredients. Say no to palm oil and instable foresting for toilet and print paper. It is as easy as being an aware consumer.</span><br />
<span style="color: purple;"><br />
</span><br />
<span style="color: purple;">Keep an eye out in your neighbourhood. Try to document any stray cats you see or hear about. We feed our resident stray female, so as to try and keep her healthy until we can catch her, and a poll to give her a name will be over there! -> Call rescue organisations and get help to save these cats, both wild and domesticated.</span><br />

But I am also boring! I'm working on it, I promise. ANYWAY if you're in the facebook group you already know and this is a redundancy, but if you're one of the other, oh, nearly 170 people, this is news to you. Shaun and I are getting maaaarried.</span><br />
<br />
<span style="color: purple;">Not any time soon though. But we're engaged.</span><br />
<br />
<span style="color: purple;">/end the most interesting post all year!</span><br />
<br />
<span style="color: purple;">PS: Yes, you may start your planning of the gothy wedding. </span>Kitty Lovett; The Unadulterated Cathttp://www.blogger.com/profile/16912762946623443410noreply@blogger.com11tag:blogger.com,1999:blog-6646448695483089014.post-47065123884907275012012-03-15T02:57:00.000-07:002012-03-15T02:57:25.672-07:00Fuck.<span style="color: purple;">So apparently after all the work you guys did clicking on ads for me, Google has insisted that I was scamming them somehow.</span><br />
<br />
<span style="color: purple;">I've sent an appeal, but will probably be ignored. In any case, THANK YOU anyway. You tried something to help me, and I really, really appreciate that. Thank you all so much who tried to help us feed the cats, but we should be okay in the end. My gratitude for this community will always remind me that there are good people out there.</span><br />
<br />
<span style="color: purple;">Thanks again guys.</span><br />
<br />
<span style="color: purple;">I've been lax posting lately but I have a big encyclopedic post about cats on its way. And I mean encyclopedic. I've basically attempted to write a wiki page here.</span><br />
<br />
<span style="color: purple;">Your support means more to me than anything.</span><br />
<br />
<span style="color: purple;">Much love, always.</span><br />

Some of you are probably wondering why I have them now.</span><br />
<br />
<span style="color: purple;">Yes, they're annoying. I'm sorry. I know. But we're in a tight spot here. Shaun lost his job yesterday and that was barely making ends meet. We've got until April 25th to come up with another four hundred dollars.</span><br />
<br />
<span style="color: purple;">The money from Adsense will go to nothing but food and toys for the cats. They are my biggest concern.</span><br />
<br />
<span style="color: purple;">I can't ask any more of you guys. Please click ads, so I can keep feeding and looking after my cats.</span><br />

We were there to buy food and kitchenware for my house. Spent about $300 on kitchenware, including an eight set of pots and pans, a baking dish for lasagne, some wooden spoons, salad bowl, mixing bowls and a knife set. Everything came in boxes so there is lots for the cats to play with!</span><br />
<br />
<span style="color: purple;">My best purchase was this, however - a totally, completely necessary one - was this: an espresso set.</span><br />

Yes, YOURS. Miss Sarah Walrus is doing an art project for her HSC, and she needs you to record or video yourself answering questions in detail about the gothic and alternative subcultures and email it to her. The post is <a href="http://ourwalrusroom.blogspot.com.au/2012/02/questionaire-art-recording.html">here</a>. If you're unable to record or video your answers or are uncomfortable with having yourself appear in a project and online, send her a written response and she will have someone else read it out.</span><br />
<br />
<span style="color: purple;">She needs this! Go on guys, don't just sit around like a big girl's blouse, bloody well go and help her! </span>Kitty Lovett; The Unadulterated Cathttp://www.blogger.com/profile/16912762946623443410noreply@blogger.com0
